NAT (Network Address Translation) devices are allowed on Resnet. Visit the IT website to learn more.
NAT devices are also allowed on the (non-ResNet) campus network. However, there are certain guidelines that must be followed to use them.
- Only one workstation, server or other general purpose computing device may be behind a NAT box.
- Placing Multiple workstations or servers behind a NAT device to meet federal, state, or industry requirements must be approved by Texas A&M Information Technology.
- NAT devices may not be used to minimize the need for Texas A&M IT installed network drops.
